The main/misc split is purely based on how active categories are. NSW is very rarely ran by many people, and if it got a sudden surge of popularity again, it'd be brought back to main. The real split is between the main leaderboards and the category extension leaderboards
I always questioned it myself to be honest, but didn't think I should change the rules for a category which already had runs when I became a moderator of the game. (I did change the name to 100% though. I think we can agree the old name of "100% with Window CutScene" was dumb lol)
@Brandooates I've added you as a mod so you can do as you like with the leaderboards; while I'm always on speedrun.com I'm not all too active within this game.
speedrun.com isn't really a great site for ILs of this game, since there's so many categories you could have for each exit. (cape, no cape, small etc)
I do agree though, that we kinda need a better place to find ILs than just looking through different people's YouTube channels
Yeah, most recent version is fine. There's no reason you'd need an older one as far as I know

50Hz approx.
There's a few things this could be, since your description is pretty vague. Namely: input delay, still-active flight meter, just.. you know... jumping twice
Are people still taking in the 6 seriously? I see new runs of it every week and I'm so confused lmao
If you're curious about the 'behind the scenes' of why it works, this is a great video to watch
When Mario grabs the coin off Yoshi's tongue, the sprite slot that the coin was in is still "attached" to the tongue. Then when the chuck spawns, it'll spawn in that sprite slot and warp to Yoshi's tongue and get eaten. It's this eating of the clappin' chuck as fire mario which gives you the orb
Okay, so Mario has to grab the coin which is on yoshi's tongue before yoshi eats the coin, I'll explain more in a sec
Could you link a video? Orb will work no matter what emulator you're using so if I can see what you're doing wrong I should be able to help
Normal controllers can do left+right or up+down, but it's banned RTA anyway. ;)
Should be fine. As long as the controller isn't using turbo etc, any are allowed
