Could we get 2 new categories for the Sexy hiking modernized and sexy hiking reanimated? I have reached nothing but dead ends trying to fix the og games textures and still want to be able to speedrun.

as long as the mechanics of the game and levels are same you can run on a different version and your run will be accepted in official leaderboards. I'll look into those versions when i got some free time
getting category extensions takes some effort i would love to just hit a simple switch and boom we have extensions now but sadly there's work to be done that i don't have the time for nowadays
i tried out modernized and it has a slightly different level 1, also couldn't get the level 3 warp on it so probably slightly different mechanics. i know you want it to be an extension but i just wanted to check if we can use it for official leaderboards. and we can't. i wish we could figure out what causes the texture error and fix it or port the game 1:1 or patch so it works on modern hardware.
just sent speedrun.com a request for category extensions with my hardmode video, hopefully they grant our wish and idk if we can just add more extensions as we wish we'll see
