Hi there, I was wondering why I don't see any L9♥ runs on the board. I saw that the rules state "Player can start from any level 0-9." Is that on purpose or an oversight? If it's on purpose, what's the justification for excluding ♥ level starts? It should clearly be allowed, right?

Scoring is the same, that's why no one uses it. Level 10 scores like level 0, 11 like level 1, etc. As far as I remember at least.

Yeah, I'm pretty sure it's just an oversight. Level 19 start is theoretically fastest but it's stupid hard compared to just starting at level 9, lol.

Well, since the 100 lines categories are entirely about speed and not about score, it does actually matter a lot. Thanks for the reply! At my own (very poor) level of gameplay, just completing the 100 lines at L9♥ is already faster than going for tetrisses at a lower speed. A good player could get sub 4 with it, easily, I suppose.

Yeah I actually completely forgot about the 100 lines category, sorry about that. There's no reason to ban heart levels so you should be good.

For me it would make sense to allow it in the 100 lines "any%" category :-) What are thoughts of the mods on this one?

I don't see a reason why not, I was thinking of scoring as well. I didn't write the original rules, I'm not sure why that was in there.

Oh_DeeR I will wait until I get word from BT to verify your <3 level run. I assume it will be fine but I'm not sure yet.

I like this idea and glad you all implemented it. :D Makes you wonder where the threshold is of what level you aught to stop throwing Tetrises at and start focusing on singles is, somewhere in between 9 and 9 <3 depending on player.

I mean, some players can survive on tetrises past lvl 19. Tetrises are always optimal, singles barely score any points and are pretty slow.
