Should be, Tricrow might have a good implementation for it.
Grandfathered all Leaderboard runs to the respective IL Leaderboards. Just getting the rules all cleaned up and in the appropriate places is what's left.
So Double... when's your first run? :^)
You are correct. I didn't know how to implement that until now
But I think I got it so I'll get to implementing that
++ Location, like last year, was perfect! Easily accessible and near a hub airport. ++ The arcade room was an incredible fallback when I wasn't hanging out with people. Especially the jubeat machines, those were a stellar distraction.
- Loved having streams 1 & 2 in the same room, even if there was some audio leakage from one stream to the other. I like being able to see with a head turn what was going on on the other stream.
- Great tournament room. Feasel did an amazing job throwing all this together and I can't thank him enough for his support of my side event.
- The playlist kept playing the same 5 songs over and over. They are cool songs don't get me wrong, but I'd aprreciate a little variety.
- Countdowns to build hype are amazing. Counting down 4 hours at a time for a full week to a time that isn't even the stream start time is not.
- This is not under your control, but please can runners not set dumb estimates for their runs? Unless more than one person are submitting the same thing (which you shouldn't do anyway) they don't look cool and when they inevitably encounter terrible marathon luck they look even less cool. PSA: Keep your estimates high.
- I'm not gonna play the saint on this occasion, because i was part of the problem. But if something is quickly shaping up to be a very noisy thing (á la Street Boyz) it's best that it's moved outside of the stream room. -- The quiet practice room was not quiet for a time and it barely had any equipment to support practising. Despite all that, apparently someone even streamed in there because they didn't wanna use the ESA overlay of the streaming stations (?!?!)

Spent a hot minute finding VODs again and retiming any run that I could find the VOD for. A few issues:
- I could not find any of OSkilled's runs that verify his times, only runs that were slightly above the listed time. Don't know what to do about those
- Can no longer find majoneesi's Twitch so I can't verify his times and retime them. This has led to Oxylen taking the kuso Demo WR,despite the fact that with the IGT system for the demos majo has WR (the millisecond digits in the demos are copied from the last three digits in the frame counter, making majo's time a 49.083)
What could we do about these issues?
Demo can be moved as a miscellaneous category, there's no need to delete it outright, an archive of what was will do.
Seconding the above, especially the inconsistencies in the leaderboard. The timing rules are unfortunate, so I suggest using Zet and Gelly's autosplitter and ranking runs by RTA until IGT can be fixed.
Also, I'd like to throw my name in the pool of potential helpers for this undertaking. I moderate BattleBlock Theater, Mojo! and the event pages of a Speedrunning event (UKSG) on this website and I have used all of the features of a game's leaderboard extensively. If you need a hand with this, I can certainly help
Works quite nicely. Might have to update my SFX to adapt to the new autosplitter. Uploaaaaad iiiiiit!!! If you make it so that Livesplit automatically recognises it, you will have saved me some effort of recreating my layouts. <3
Majoneezi said in his WR comments that he wrote an autosplitter for this game. I'd be interested in putting this on Livesplit so i can use it for runs.
Is there a chance we can get it uploaded somewhere?
I am also starting to run this game myself having done a low 2x:xx time and I'd actually like to run Love and the Kuso+Love medley.
So yeah, seconding this! :D
So I've been doing some thonking.
I can probably feasibly gun for 25:xx in Intro% with some good luck at the last two encounters do y'all think it can get any lower?
I'll try to keep it short since I know you guys are already working on most of the points i wish to make about this event.
- Better badges. I know you guys had big plans for this event's badges that didn't come through in the end. I hope next year you can at least realise the different badge designs for Attendees, Volunteers, Crew etc.
- Badge security. As people mentioned above, the measures you took on the last couple of days were the best idea in terms of the security of the event from outsiders. Hope to see the measures implemented from the get go next year!
- A third person on-site for both Hosting and Moderating teams might be necessary. I don't know if Aura and Trollbear had a third person onsite to work with them in moderating, but Maral and Ladaur were the only two heads of hosts. In both cases, they were lacking at certain times. Mods had to go to sleep at some point, leaving the intermission hosts to moderate donations, which is something most people must've been ill-prepared to do. A third individual that can take care of graveyard shifts might be necessary.
- Better rationing on the Red Bull. We all noticed how much of the Red Bull was gone early on and when the rationing came to effect, it was too effective. By the end, I'm fairly we had half a fridge of RB that nobody wanted to take or simply couldn't, despite the "All cans must go" sign.
- Turn down that one speaker in Stream 1. Whoever is sitting next to it in the audience can say goodbye to their ears. Either reposition it somewhere else or turn it down.
Besides that, I don't know where to begin to sing the praises for this ESA:
- Better location, with much easier access to more central airports.
- Trains had great service to those who rented airbnb.
- All the relevant rooms were around one, central and easily traceable hub, making jumping from one room to another very easy.
- Food had great variety and was easily accessible. Personal recommendation: the salad bar in the ICA supermarket on the bottom floor of the shopping mall.
- Community is incredible as always! Very varied and very passionate towards speedrunning and what we gathered there to do.
See you guys next event.
that's a cool thing to try and do for ILs. The gem stamps save you about 1 second per stage that has a clipboard cutscene. It's pretty cool if you wanna try your luck for a potential maximum of 9 seconds of timesave.
Would be really interesting to see how 100% would work with that game, since we don't have the file editing that we can do on PC.
