Not sure if this is common knowledge but it is possible to cover slide on the latest patch by holding right click on a 'peekable' corner while reloading your weapon. When your weapon finishes reloading it will teleport you back to the place you took cover from. This can be triggered at will by switching to third person while your weapon is still loading, it can then be triggered by switching to first person and aiming in.
