In the rules it says “ Switching movement types mid-run is NOT allowed.” dose this mean you can’t switch between first person and third person animations

switching animations is allowed! we use this in runs for things like minecart skip and island skip

yes, minecart skip is still possible in VR with third person animations turned on

can also do minecart skip with 1st person animation, tho it's a lil harder to get the timing compared to 3rd person animation. but it's the same setup

Yeah sorry, it’s not the best explanation but I tried my best. Essentially just get yourself in that right corner and angle yourself to the left as normal. And then I wait until I see the scaffolding on the right and count to 2. Then take a tiny step back and hit the jump button. After some practice it gets easier!

Can anyone verify if this is still possible after recent updates? Trying to practice it both in first and 3rd person, but I get swung so far to the center of the cart I'm not sure it works. I've never done it before so maybe I just have to keep practicing, but I'm concerned about wasting my time if it's somehow been fixed :/

@Rooke unfortunately all of the out of bounds glitches have been patched with this most recent update. Eventually we will have to separate the leaderboards into different patches. If you’re interested in learning how to downpatch your game, I would recommend joining the RE4 speedrunning discord and go to the VR tab. Lots of knowledgeable people over there

Not all of them! The double gigante skip is still possible, although the boulder skip I was also having difficulty with so it makes sense that was patched out too... Thanks for the update!
