Tutorial speedruns removed?

It seems like people's runs are being removed, did the runners do this or was there some issue with the runs? They looked ok to me

Australia

Yeah I saw that too makes me a little worried to run the category just to get a run removed.

I spoke to a mod about this earlier, the wr holder at the time had not extracted the MIA operator they simply dropped him at extraction then evaced. This does NOT count as a 'completed extraction' as the mission status stays yellow in the top left. You need to secure the MIA op before extracting.

That was the only issue, as long as you complete the full tutorial there is no issue. Every other run is fine, it was one run that was removed for the issue above.

Hi there, i didnt saw until now that my run was Removed. The problem i see is that i dropped the MIA because in an normal extraction the objective is completed without needing to put the MIA in the Extraction box. I think this should be in the rules if it is required.

Ok, i will clarify it, there was a report that the run was violating the rules and only that run was removed in this time period. So no, people's run are not being removed, it was a single run that was removed in this last day.

Regarding the rules that were not followed, the rules states that you must complete all objectives, but the latest objective was not completed or at least it is not clear since not putting the MIA operator in the Extraction Pod does indeed count as extracted if you extract in the same area, but if you extract in any area following that, it will count as non completed.

Also objective states: SECURE Operator in Extraction Pod... So we can discuss it if we should allow to drop the MIA Operator and extracting in that area should count and if it should be allowed since it is a bug that disregards the Game and Objective own directions.

Here you can see that if you just drop the operator on the extraction site and leave, it will not count as objective complete. And you can also clearly see all the phase of the objective in the top left.

If we extract after the rescue mission or during a single map and we don't place the MIA operator in the incubator, that should count (in my opinion). The goal of the "Speedrun" is to go as quickly as possible and that does not matter the problems of the game. If the mission is counted as "finished" it is validated. Afterwards it is especially annoying for the verifiers when this "bug" will be removed.

Its not a bug, you are not securing the operator. Its about FINISHING as fast as possible. And to FINISH the VR mode, you must complete ALL 3 objectives. This requires securing the operator in the pod. I disagree with the mods comment that it is a bug as it is the tutorial mode and is teaching the player to use the extraction pod. As it stands the mission is not considered finished as the obj remains yellow instead of turning green.

There's also several other indicator that are missing: the objective turns green when it is completed and then goes away. In theory i agree that a speedrun should be able to utilize every bug available (unless we introduce a glitchless category or a bug is unfair to other players). But in this specific case, the VR does not have an objective completed recap and the only way the game tells you if you have completed an objective is by turning it green and going away, so even if it works in normal maps it does not show any sign in VR Tutorial.

Therefore i would be inclined to say that it does not count as completed (in VR), but i can also understand what you are saying and will try to find a solution ;)
