I'm making this thread to sort of see if people are interested in running Glitchless in category extensions (or any other category in there for that matter)? I know they're in there because nobody runs them, but I also feel like noone runs them because they're in there. I do feel like they're really fun, and underappreciated, and I'd like to see maybe more than one run per category.
Hey, if there's enough traction for a category, maybe we can get it into the main leaderboard ;) .
I've tried but I don't know how to delete it.
So, I thought that I didn't send a run for an individual level, but turns out it just got verified really quickly. Can I have the second submission rejected? The level is "Europe: Mountain Ranges".
Well, if I understand correctly the reason why all the games are so short is because of the amount of turns being 1, so the game finishes instantly and I don't see that being modified in this rule set (correct me if I'm wrong tho). I suppose modifing that and the things you mentioned could be a separate category.
Alright, so I'm unsure now about the rules concerning the Glitchless% Category. In the General Game Rules it is written: "Your run must be performed as if you started from a clean save file. You are not allowed to take advantage of anything that is unlocked after having already played the game, unless explicitly allowed by the category rules." Here's the thing: I was watching a run (specifically the current 3rd place) and there was at least 1 fire alarm pulled and there was at least one chess piece collected (the Kasparov Computer was on), but the player (as far as I'm aware at least) did not take advantage of any collectables. Does that mean we don't have to wipe the file if we want to keep the in-game achievements as long as we don't use them? Or is this an oversight? I apologize if I'm annoying anyone by asking another question about the rules.
I accidentaly submited a run to the Pin category and not Pin Hard. Like last time I sent it again, this time correctly. Sorry if I'm bothering anyone with constant messages.
I accidently put in a run with real time, I put it in again with game time, can a moderator reject the one in real time?
Hello. My name is Dr.- Ok, now for real. I want to start running the Any% category. However I'm not sure whether or not a path I'm thinking of would be allowed. In the Game Rules section, it says: "Your run must be performed as if you started from a clean save file. You are not allowed to take advantage of anything that is unlocked after having already played the game, unless explicitely allowed by the category rules." (my focus is the "unless explicitely allowed by the category rules" part) However in the Any% category Rules it states: "You must finish the game. No restrictions." Would "No restrictions." classify as "explicitly allowed by the category rules"?
