I see some people have used emulators for their runs but the rules do not specify specific emulators. Is it fine to use any emulator?

I haven't really considered the question of which emulators are(n't) allowed, as no one in the community plays on emulator. After looking at the rules for some of the more popular SNES games here on speedrun.com, I would say that SNES9x (v1.51 and above) and BSNES are fine, whereas ZSNES is not.

@Lafungo well, this is a recent update, but, its ok using the SNES9x 1.60 now?.
