Hello, I read a comment from Jackanope666 on the itchio game's page, saying the following : "for any speedrunners, in the level in golden valley where you have to follow a snowball along 2 platforms, if you grapple precisely as you bounce on the slight side of the snowball, and grapple jump, it launches you to the next level [...] don't have a method to (record a video), sry. I'm not really a speedrunner myself, just thought this was kind of interesting. basically in a simpler way, if you bounce on a snowball as you grapple, and do a grapple jump you get launched really far."

I tried to make the boost happen but I couldn't make it. Is anyone interested in trying this boost to see if it would be interesting in a speedrun ? Have you experienced a similar situation in the game ?

I posted it on the community discord, It's really not as fabulous as it sounds, it gives you enough boost to get past the thorny floor, but it doesn't launch you to the "next level" i think no save too much time, since when you arrive at the place you must wait for the cycle. I do not know if exist a more powerful impulse it is quite difficult to do

Aaaaaaah I see, thank you ! Indeed it doesn't save time, but it's nice to see that such a boost exists, maybe for a future TAS.

I don't know how useful it could be, but I got this in a run:

If I didn't panic I could have technically jumped off the following ball and keep on going, skipping 1 snowball. I'm not sure if the snowballs line up this nicely with faster strats than mine, but it can definitely be a small (emphasis on small) time save.
