Hi, I was looking for some game speedruns, and I found this: https://www.speedrun.com/bonetale#100_
That is impossible, a run that is 00:00.001ms and has no proof. And it was submited by the mod himself.
Is there anyway to report this kind of things?
@MrSamper99 those 1ms no player runs are generally used to ban unused subcategories which happen when you use subcategories over multiple categories.
@MrSamper99 The moderator has used a subcategory variable for all categories on the board but it doesn't apply to one of the categories so they've nullified it, it's pretty lazy in this case to be honest because there are only a couple of categories but regardless the category has to be ruled out with this system
@MrSamper99 should also probably private message the mod in question first before running to forums to report them.
Theres often many reasons why a thing may look the way it does, and its normally because the mod is trying to make something fit into the constraints this website sets for them.
that is exactly how the site works. You can easily get around such a "dead category" by making sub categories for each category individually instead of a global one for all categories. Obviously that requires a tiny bit more work since you have to make multiple sub categories.
Anyway, we can hope that with the improved mod tools stuff like this won't be a problem anymore...
in HOI4 we use subategories with subcategories and as long as you cant disable variables on specific subcategories we will have to use the solution. didnt seem like there was a fix for that in the new mod tools
This scenario can also happen in IL/categories combinations, not just categories/sub-categories combinations. Which means that sometimes, some categories you can only run on specific ILs, and not on other ILs - and that's where N/A runs come in play too. Without a better IL configuration tools, there is no way around this one at the moment.
