Hello everyone!
As far as from now haven't noticed any huge differences between both versions. Load times seem stable between different ports (personally i tried Switch and PC version, no idea how PS4 behaves), and tech wise there don't seem to be any issues that arise yet.
(Though All Sanctuaries cant be run, at least yet, on consoles)
For now there seems no need to separate port versions, but I first want to ask the player base and see the opinions.
Thanks for reading!
I think we should post the records separately. On PC it is possible to use the keyboard and controller at the same time to move the airship at high speed, but on PS4 / switch it is unclear if this is possible. If the technique is not possible, it is not fair as there would be a clear difference compared to the PC. If the technique is possible, there would be some discomfort with the records being posted separately, but I don't think an unfair comparison would be made.
On a separate note, after the game was updated, it was no longer possible to enter a move during the darkening after the cutscene that occurs when visiting each map for the first time, for example. I have confirmed that this is reproduced on PS4 / PC, how about switch? It may be necessary to specify the version in some cases, as it causes a loss of several seconds per time.
A small update on this regard:
- Switch load times deceived me, they started to take a lot longer than I seen before and definitely way longer than PC version (around 3-4 seconds longer at least).
- Airship trick didn't seem to work either. My first guess was that the Switch touch screen working as another move input, but instead it works as another way of jumping (might be able to find something new out of this maybe).
- Not being able to move after a blackout happens in this console too so in that case all ports behave the same. Sad update still 😁
- Dash stacking works. Emote animation cancel for Buried sources also works. Camera exploits also works (gaining control when falling into water and defying the laws of gravity at least).
The next question would be, in the case of ports being separated (which is probably going to happen soon): Would it be more appropriate to separate between PC / Consoles, or PC / PS4 / Switch separately. I assume loading times between PS4 and Switch differ a lot, considering both consoles.
Might try to do a test run sometime soon eventually to see how it goes (mostly the load times)
Decided on separating the categories per console.
Runs can be now submitted for each console. I'll leave this post open for any possible future questions or discussion.
Hello everyone
As you may notice, there's been an addition of Load Time Removal for the leaderboard, and there's an Autosplitter Script for LiveSplit that handles the loading time for PC runs (more info here: )
The load remover seems to b
