Sure, no problem I assume the game speed is different from Switch and PC so I'll add new categories for Xbox One.
Oh well it has been approved: https://speedrun.com/fortboyard2020
Fort Boyard 2020 request is pending, I decided to use the english name (Escape Game Fort Boyard). To avoid confusion (again lol), I've changed the url for Fort Boyard 2019, it's now speedrun.com/fortboyard2019 instead of just /fortboyard
For those who are not aware, Fort Boyard 2019 and 2020 are 2 separate games, there's no update for the 2019 edition, and if you want to get the 2020 edition well... you'll have to buy it
Hi, new categories have been added, a new save file is required for those categories.
All the arbitrary categories (that doesn't require to reset the game data) have been moved into Misc.
To avoid any confusion, I plan to create a new speedrun.com page named "Fort Boyard (2020)" but nothing has been decided atm. We'll see when the game is released, anyway it's clear that Fort Boyard (2019) and Fort Boyard - Nouvelle Edition (aka Escape Game - Fort Boyard) are 2 different games even though it looks more like a big update
US release on July 7, named "Escape Game: Fort Boyard" Amazon Link: https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B087KNWQF4/
Hi, Microids announced "Fort Boyard - Nouvelle Edition" (Fort Boyard - New Edition). It will be released on June 25.
Once this new edition is released, the rankings may change. If you have suggestions, you can suggest them by replying to this thread!
Note: Currently we don't know if the original edition will get an update to the new edition, more information coming soon.
EDIT: A new page has been created for the 2020 edition: https://speedrun.com/fortboyard2020
I'll try to make a list of the songs you can find in the game

Nobody answered but I see that this button is not used in any run so I decided that it's not allowed to use it
Hi, during a challenge, in the pause menu there's a "Give up" button, do you prefer to allow the use of this button or not? Please reply in comment.
There are 4 difficulty levels: Easy, Medium, Hard and Heroic (You have to unlock Hard and Heroic).
When the difficulty is high, you will have more things to do in the challenges so you will have to be faster, and you will have less indications.
I was wondering if there's a difference between the difficulty we can choose in the Options and the one we have to choose when we press Adventure (or Boyard Party), so I asked Microids which modes are affected by the difficulty chosen in the Options and they replied:
"La difficulté prend généralement effet sur totalité des modes de jeu, sauf si un mode de jeu vous propose de la modifier avant de démarrer." (The difficulty usually takes effect on all game modes, unless a game mode offers you to change before starting.)
So the difficulty in the Options is only for Training mode because you have to choose the difficulty when you go to Adventure or Boyard Party.
The game seems to run faster in docked mode, it can help for Race but it's still possible to do the WR in undocked (like what @Félicien2B did).
This message is to inform you that the game runs faster on Nintendo Switch since the 8.0.0 system update. No changes were made to the leaderboard.
Note that if new Nintendo Switch consoles (such as Pro or Mini) are announced, you will probably need to specify which system you used in the run you are submitting.
Ok then no problem ;) (I don't know if nixfumbles agrees but he didn't answer so I think you can do that)
Hi, until now, to finish the run you had to hear a sound that means tea is served. But sometimes this sound happens randomly / never happens / happens multiple times. So I decided that to complete the game, the bottom of the cup must touch the tray. The sound will still be used in exceptional cases.
Note: the times of already existing runs will be adapted to this new rule.
It's interesting but i don't know if it's a good idea because Switch runs will be slower than on other platforms.
There's no difference, btw all the runs are in the docked category but some runs were made in undocked mode. I'm going to change that
You can get the game for free on PC in the Windows Store and on Android in the Play Store, but on iOS you have to buy it.
