Just getting into Speedrunning and have seen multiple streamers with transparent livesplit layouts. Is this an easy thing to do?

Yes, you just set the background of Livesplit to a solid color and then in OBS/XSplit you chroma key out that color on the Livesplit capture. That will make the background transparent.

There might be an easier way to do it (maybe Livesplit does it natively now?) but that’s I’ve always done it.

^ This has been a native feature of LiveSplit for quite some time now, it may be time to update the program.

I dont actually use Livesplit, Ive used WSplit for years and still do (I never needed Livesplit's fancy bells and whistles).

That being said, i should probably update just to look around so I can answer questions like this with more up to date information lol. Apparently Im farther out of date than I thought.

afaik its not a feature in livesplit. you can change the total opacity to make it translucent but not transparent.
