why does game have 97% and not 100% is there something weird with this game? i don't know if i will ever speedrun this but i do have the game on GBA.

97% is the highest obtainable percent in this game.

As Walgrey said, the game is bugged to where 3% worth of game completion is unobtainable without modifying the game. 1% of that is obtainable by modifying a memory address that (as far as we know) can't be accessed through normal gameplay, and the other 2% is completely unaccounted for in the code.
