Hello! I made a goofy little speedrun category that I would love to try and actually get added if possible. Could the Sex% ( or the way better name of Bang%) speedrun become a reality? Saw there are "Meme" categories for other games, would love to add one for TW3 :)

Oh my, that's truly a bummer. Hopefully there's a good reason for that as a run like that must be incredible. My goofy meme run is nothing comparatively but I still hope there can be more supported options.

I don't see why such category shouldn't be added, I thought speedrunning is about having fun, so why not just let people have fun?

What would that be? It does sound interesting 🤔 I wonder how much longer it would take than the usual 100% route. Maybe a better category would be Bang Any%.

We're not reluctant to add new categories at all! I'm surprised to hear you say that, nic. To give you a little refresher on why we haven't added Aliatus' 100% run to the leaderboards:

1. Aliatus has not shown me personally any interest to make the run into a category.
2. No other runners have shown interest in doing a 100% run.
3. It's 20+ hours. Beyond the fact that it's a lot to review, it's also a lot of other factors to think about, such as allowed breaks, etc. It's not as easy as it may sound!

That said, this category is short enough so if more people are interested in Laid%/Bang%, hook me up in the Discord server and I'll see what my magic fingers can do!

I know of a few people that threatened to beat me when I was doing this on twitch, but I hope there are other people that want to try it too! I'll certainly miss the chance to see my name sat beside the word "1st", but I'd absolutely love to see the the category be added. <3

I am also interested in a Bang% category. Looks like it could be a short fun one to go for.

I've been typing up notes and looking for optimizations or setups for some things related to this, so I'm definitely down to see this added "officially".

Also if bang% does get added, would there be a separation for current patch and old patch? Just saw the difference between the two, and good lord the difference.

The reason why it doesn't exist imo is due to it being 1 dialogue option different while doing the exact same thing as main game.

TLDR: It's exactly like Any% except for 1 dialogue option different.

Except after the tutorial section, rather than heading west towards a quest objective, all you do in bang%, at least with Stoopid's video, is head to Novigrad as soon as possible and get to Crippled Kate's.

We've already talked it through on discord - it's very unlikely that the category is gonna end up on the leaderboards. First of all, the concept may sound funny but it's slightly controversial (for obvious reasons). Additionally (and that's mostly my opinion) it's just not that fun to do overall - since the first place you could finish a run in is Novigrad, the run itself is just Prologue% with extra steps and the meme here is imo not good enough to compensate that.

Aww, that's unfortunate. A friend was recently talking about how he optimized the hell out of it and thought it'd be a neat speedrun. Understand the point made though. Shame shame.
