I was wondering what most people here used to run the pc version on the game. Mouse and keyboard feels great for the older games but this one is just feels off for whatever reason for me.

controller is what most people are comfortable with and with alt controls and tank controlls right next to each other it's technically faster.

Yeah, I find Xbox one controller to work best, especially transitioning from alternate to tank when you need it almost effortlessly.

I wouldn't recommend keyboard for this game at all. It's impossible to utilize the hybrid controls (original and arrange controls together) with keyboard as far as I know. You're pretty much stuck with one or the other. However, you do gain the ability to navigate a tad bit quicker using the mouse in the inventory. This is mostly useful for huge leaps like getting to slots 5-8 instantly. But, you could just use the controller and have the mouse preemptively ready on-screen, or you can just learn to dual input by using the d-pad and analog together for inventory.

I can totally relate to the struggle with mouse and keyboard on some games, especially when they don’t feel quite right. For older titles, the mouse and keyboard combo is great, but for this one, it seems like the controller really shines. Most players I’ve seen, myself included, prefer using a controller, especially with the tank and alternate controls right next to each other—definitely feels like it offers a faster response.
