like, really fast

apparently at least 42 seconds

apparently at least 38 seconds

No I know tas 3, but theoretically the fastest speed

Massachusetts, USA

Simply put; as fast as someone can program the TAS to go, which as of right now is at least 38 seconds.

cgoi player all think that 38 is impossible They think The hammer move too fast

New Zealand

in 10 years from now I think a sub 30 could be done

Mathew_William, i mean, 10 years is a long period of time, but this is about a 12 seconds difference between the best possible run yet and sub 30

Louisiana, USA

i think 38 might be the fastest possible

Tunisia

sub 35 is theoretical if a computer nerd with bajillion years on computer and tas knowledge joined the community, sub 30 is impossible

Los Angeles, CA, USA

34.767 seconds is my guess. who will be first to get this exact time?

Czech Republic

@whitelistedd what we're not living in tas 2 times. the best tas is tas v3

Sub 30 will almost definitely never come, unless we're using the hat spawn glitch. [Take what i say with a grain of salt, though, since i haven't played GOIWBF in a long time. I'm basing this off of the fact that it's highly unlikely that GOISE will ever get sub 30, and considering the fact that the GOISE wr is less than 75% of the GOIWBF wr, i doubt GOIWBF will ever beat GOISE.]

@ThisTextWasRemovedBy absolutely but there's still a few other factors. The method for TASing GOIWBF rn is (afaik) still the equivalent to what we would call Geo's engine in GOISE. The best that was done with that is 33.3s, and it wasn't even sub 36 until the new engine came out. I don't know how comparable the old times GOISE TASers were to Yeet, but despite the lack of info we could still definitely assume that the more precise engine would likely bring more potential.

I wonder how much GOIWBF people know about GOISE on average xD

Hawaii, USA

@KlimbRio first and foremost they don't know what it stands for (it's Getting Over It Scratch Edition), other than that I'd be pretty confident in predicting they know on average no more then that it exists.

Back on topic, I predict mountain skip is possible and it'll save like 3 secs, so it's very likely that sub 35 is possible.

@ThisTextWasRemovedBy actually it's likely that sub 30 GOISE is possible since the TAS looks highly unoptimized, and GOIWBF should be as fast if not more fast than it since it can build up some crazy fast momentum, but it is however held back by it's 6-second intro in terms of beating GOISE, but using this logic it again seems very likely that sub 35 is possible.

It's indeed likely that sub 30 GOISE is possible but I wouldn't go as far as saying it looks highly unoptimized xD I would rather say it's certainly not optimized, like almost all TASes, but it's not obvious why or how, like most good TASes.

Does anyone know how much Mountain Skip has actually been attempted when TASing? It's definitely worth a shot. Even if it looks outrageously impossible for humans, that doesn't mean it can't be done with TAS, and that being said, it's even more likely to be possible because it does not look outrageously inhuman.

The GOISE TAS does so much crazy stuff that isn't RTA viable. The GOIWBF TAS does too but honestly, not as much. I don't see a reason why since GOIWBF is more extreme than GOISE on the unforgiveness (not just in casual gameplay but also speedrunning-wise) scale. This should mean the TAS has a bigger advantage over humans, whereas in more "forgiving" games (e.g. platformers, such as SMB), where physics and controls are less complex, humans can get much closer to TASes.

Hope you had a good read I guess :P
