Apparently, there are cheats that will give you extra lives, power-ups, and weapons. I take it these aren't allowed, right? If I decided to do a run with cheats, would it be put in its own category? There's also a cheat to select any level. Obviously, I don't expect this to be allowed.
Yeah it would have to be a different category. idk, most games dont allow using cheats. Dont let me stop you from playing the game how you want to though.
I just think a cheat% category would be fun, and I'd definitely run a 100 wave cheat category once I can get a capture card.
Another thing, this game runs WAY faster on emulator. I don't think the two should be compared directly, since emu has a huge advantage
If cheats were determined to be a separate category, why was a run using the 50 lives cheat accepted to the main 200 Waves category? Shouldn't that be moved?
The other two runs spend time farming for lives at the beginning of the game, whereas KeithHood's just dashes straight into things with 50 lives right from the start. The times aren't really comparable as a result.
Random question, but if we use a gameshark for the cheat%, can it still work or is it only in-game cheats you have to put in as you play?
What would you do with gameshark? I can't allow it, the possibilities with gameshark are endless.
More than one person has asked for this category. The main reason I see for it is if you just like using the weapons or you accidentally enter a code (which is surprisingly easy to do)
