I timed my F4 pause on 9-3 and it came to 0.61 seconds. So I'm in the time save range (<0.85) based on the tests you did on stream.
Additionally, the way I timed it was, start recording the game and timer, try and hit F4 and the timer start button as simultaneously as possible, then inspect the resulting video fame by frame to see what the timer displayed when motion resumed.
Ok, I understand now. 10 jumps/s seems really fast compared to what I'm doing at the moment. I think my sets of 10 are about 2 jumps/s. I'm going to play around with different ways of hitting space, to see what feels best to me and yields the most jumps/s.
Hey fly, something has been confusing me for a while. In your 5:50 run, how come the pauses from your F4 presses seem so short? and how are you able to input so many jump presses so quickly, if they are really as short as they seem?
For example, your 10-4 corner clip, in the video I only hear the F4 click one time(you know the one you hear when you stack F4's), and the entire corner clip only takes about 5 seconds. Are you just really fast at inputting your jumps? I feel like I'm missing something
Since F4 pauses on my computer are somewhat short, the way that I feel comfortable inputting jumps is by splitting them into sets of 5 or 10, and then pressing F4 in between each set. Though, I know I should figure out exactly how many F4's I need to complete various jumps, and input them at the start. I will work on that at some point. I already sort of do it on 9-7, I will input about 5-6 F4's just to be safe, and then I do 3 sets of 10 jumps. I can probably get away with 3-4 F4's if i do it right.
I was having trouble with 10-1. So I looked at your strat fly, and solsword's one from his 8:10. I was able to do solsword's pretty consistently, but I could almost never get the one that you do, where you sneak by the ball on top of the hunter. So now I just mainly either do solsword's, or this one I came up with (shown below), It's very consistent and easy, but probably a bit slower than the one you do currently.
Good stuff fly! I'm curious how many jumps are you inputting during the two F4 pauses on 8-4 and 8-5 to clip through the wall. Trying to do the same wall clips on path 8, I've found that 3 F4 pauses where I'm furiously mashing jump will get me through the wall. Keep in mind this was in windowed mode, where the F4 pauses are shorter. Do you run fullscreen or windowed? Also, what resolution is your display?
Additionally, here is a strat for 8-1 that I think is pretty fast. But, the positioning for this is precise. I could not do it consistently after about 8 minutes of trying, I think I only did it 4 times in those 8 minutes.
Inputs are F4, then 2 jumps, then hold right quickly after coming down from hitting the top.
This post's purpose is to document my agreement with this decision.

I'd just like to say that my steam is also not showing up.
Maybe it's because I have no viewers?
These are probable spawn points for 8 sec hit bonus bass. They are not absolute.
