Hello, currently i have been experimenting with a new time save. This allows sticky keys during chases against most specimens (both to regain stamina and doors). It also allows you to regain health really fast. 

It should be impossible for specimens to kill you while alt tabbed (Including specimen 9). Meaning you can sticky keys without taking a hit at doors. (Besides from specimen 6 (see below))

During sticky keys it will freeze all flying specimens. 

To perform the glitch all you need to do is go to settings and turn on controller support with a controller plugged in.
(Unplugging the controller can crash the game when entering event rooms)

Strange Interactions found -
Specimen 6: Will attack you at the start of the door (only 1 hit) once you exit from sticky keys. Might have something to do with movement from the door and how long you alt tab for.
Specimen 7: Can be sticky keys for both stamina and doors
Specimen 10: Will be on you when you sticky keys for stamina, however you can sticky keys for health now. Meaning this is not a massive issue.
Specimen 12: Bedroom hide sequence doesn't spawn Library key if you don't let the old man walk into the room. (Sticky keys for too long or do it too many times and it will softlock). 
This also means hide sequences can be skipped completely by doing sticky keys until the music goes away. Allowing you to grab both the book and the Exit key without needing to hide.
Specimen 13: There will be a very loud noise while opening doors. You can not regain stamina in the chase rooms.

Specimen 9's boss fight: Speeds up by a lot while alt tabbed. Making sticky keying laser with shadow hands really hard to do.

Seizure effects and death screens happen twice as fast. 
Specimens 5 distorting effects start more frequently at the start of a room.

So essentially you use the Controller to move while Alt Tabbing if I'm assuming right? For some reason as well this makes all the Alt Tab speed ups twice as fast essentially?

You play the game normally but with just the option on. Hence AFC (Away from controller). It should be mention that i use Task Manager for my sticky keys.

So you just activate controller support and play normally? Which controllers have been tested to not work so far?

As well does this just allow for faster recoveries? I always figured the reason to not alt tab was the specimens attacking too quickly

Correct. Currently like stated above, Only Xbox one controllers have been tested* (Two different Xbox one controllers). This stops specimens from attacking you at the door while alt tabbed ( i will fix that up in my post) The only one that gets a hit consistently is the puppet. But that seems to happen after you exit from a alt tab rather than in it (which might relate to their spawn point being in front of the door). I also noticed that flying specimens freeze while alt tabbed over chasms.

*Has now been tested with PS4 controllers and has been removed from the original post as being a variable

I've been using this tech while learning 1-250 and it definitely is helping during the specimen chase sequences. I can confidently use sticky keys glitch to regain stamina and skip room transitions while being chased. very cool very swag i like it

What kind of controller are y'all using? Cause whenever I plug in my controller with this game it either holds down the w key or infinitely spins the camera depending if I have directinput or xinput enabled.

your controller might have stick drift, that's the only conclusion i can come up with. my controller is an 8bitdo sn30 pro, but my pc treats it as an xbox 360 controller

Nah I don't think it's that it works fine on all other games, I looked it up and apparently it seems to be a common bug with some controllers and this game. A fix for it is harder to find though.

Im pretty new to this game and I'm not following how the controller affects the sticky keys glitch, could yall try to explain it better bc regaining stamina in those long dark rooms would be a huge help

@Royboy try checking your steam game properties and force off "Steam Input Per-Game" 

@BcCakeMan Sticky keys works by speeding up the entire game, since all of the loading screens are fake we can skip them and regain stamina. however there was a massive issue where specimens would also speed up resulting in a death while sticky keying during a chase. By turning on controller support flying specimens will freeze and walking specimens can only walk up to you. 

If you are asking how sticky keys is done in general, you simple alt tab to a window process (which use to be the sticky keys prompt, but task manager works fine) The game will speed up while tabbed out.

Thanks @FearCube, I hadn't thought about the fact that sticky keys would speed up the specimens that makes a lot of sense now. Now I guess the grind begins to drive that time down :)

@FearCube ok so yeah that fixed it, I actually had tried that previously and it didn't work. My advice to anyone else having the issue I had in the future is just turn force input on and off and swap between directinput and xinput until eventually it works lol.
