What are the rules for any%?

Hello, I am planning on doing runs of this game soon but currently there are no defined rules for any% or any submitted runs. Would any% end after beating stage 100 where you fight Byakuren or after beating stage 120 where you fight Miko?

Since you get credits for beating stage 100, but not for stage 120, I think it should end after 100. Then we could add a 100% or all stages category that does beat stage 120 as well as the rest of the stages.

hi, sorry this is a 9 month late reply, i don't really check these :) i came up with the rules for categories when i first routed this game and nobody had ran it before lol

we considered any% to be beating stage #100, which means you need to complete any 90 stages before then since you earn skips for every 10 stages you complete. we also allow the "stronger koishi mode" which you access from the pause menu which gives her infinite health, but requires activating each level with a restart, so it's not faster to use unless it makes the level significantly faster.

100% would require beating all 120 stages with the symbol you get when you beat the goal time in each level, making more sweets spawn from the present.

all stages would be identical except wouldn't require the goal times for extra sweets.

also would be reasonable to add an option for runs without use of the "stronger koishi mode" for any% and all stages (wouldn't be useful for 100%).

i never really routed or ran the other categories, only theorized them, and there hasn't really been any other interest in this game since, but if anyone else wants to run this game i have some basic notes i made way back if anyone is interested :)
