So I want to start this discussion before we get a bunch of runs in the categories. From what I know sillypears' script that allows holding R on eden works in afterbirth+. Do you guys think this tool should be allowed? In my personal opinion it's convienient tool and I like the fact that it makes resetting on eden less annoying, so I am obviously up for allowing it.
There was a near-unanimous consensus about Zamiel's run that using a mod to reset Eden in a fraction of a second should not be allowed. Is it really relevantly different to use a mod to reset Eden in one second?

If you use such a mod, Eden must be the first segment of your run.)"

Well, if tool is gonna be in speedrun.com resources, is it really necessary to enforce it to use it only on first character? I would propose to allow it all together.
Allowing a reset on Eden (and nothing more) seems like a simple QoL thing. Since we're just starting fresh now is the best time to get the consensus in to whether you can or can't. The biggest issue here is that I don't have a way of making this on a Mac or Linux, so unless someone else can do that, I don't know how to proceed.
As long as everyone is using the same tool for Eden, I am all up for it. It would really help to improve the most tedious part of speedrunning Isaac.
I wanna say we need to allow this but this is basicly allowing Cheat Engine so I don't think this can be allowed.
I added the following line to the master bug list:

Nicalis knows about the doc and has been fixing the bugs marked as high priority, so hopefully this can just get fixed for everyone soon!
Re: Allowing the tool for speedruns - I have no opinion on that.
So, I'm okey with that...
But my thoughts, need to take the same duration than a normal reset with another char to avoid exploiting mechanics, so dont speed up Eden's reset than Isaac resets or another char, sorry but its hard for me to explain this in english for some reason now xDD
so, im okey but without cheatty mechanics if Eden have R Reset needs to be the same than other chars

I think Eden makes up enough for not being able to hold R with the extra two items, I'm of the belief that it should be only used where reset times for Eden don't add into the time (ie Eden being first character)
Well, I like the way Zam suggested on the master bug list. If implemented, would help a lot.
Otherwise, I think it should be allowed (as long as the reset itself takes as much as with any other character, and not faster than that). But maybe a check should be marked, kind of what was done on AB with Coop Babies (Which I think would make way more sense in this case: if it's not implemented on vanilla, you'd need to take the work to install a mod/configure CE in order to be able to reset like this, which not everyone will do; having the distintion would probably be nice like that)
