Since the only option is to slow mo the game, i tried to come up with some ideas. The best one was to play 1 level at a time over and over, until i got the perfect run, then do the same for the other levels and then splice them together instead of playing the entire game. I know splicing is, of course, not allowed, but its a TAS and its just for showcase so who cares.
Update: i tried a lot of things to make Tasses possible. Using slow mo is really boring and hard, since you have to get used to doing long runs without savestates and a small error would make the run unusable. There are very few tas tools for pc games, and if you try to tas the game on mobile, its impossible, if you try to emulate a console like a ps4, its too much for the pc to handle. So, i tried to search for some tools. I found hourglass but its for 32 bit games only. The other option was LibTAS but it only works on linux and idk if you can install it on linux since the only place i was able to find it on linux via a virtual machine was on steam, and since i didn't want to spend more money to get dadish a second time, i just gave up. So, unless someone codes a program to specificly tas this game, as far as i know its impossible.
For now i still have to get possum mode. are there any save files that i can find with the game already completed 100%?
i'm not new to speedrunning but i'm new to this game so i'll just learn the most advanced strats in the singular level leaderboards before doing the TAS
I was interested if a TAS category could be implemented in the leaderboard since i'm interested in TASing the game. since there are no tool for TASing it, i will just slow down the game using cheatengine to simulate perfect imputs
Update: i tried some methods, but the one that could work is using game guardian to speedhack the game
I know emulators aren't allowed. But i wanted to experiment with it by doing some tas runs to see what the limit is and mabye to easily find out about unknown shortcuts. So, mabye i will make a experimental category for tas runs, just to show off the capabilities that this game has.
to make the tas i will use a emulator and use cheat engine to slow down the game and make perfect imputs.
BTW the new timer is acceptable for runs like 1-4, 1-20 etc. But for single level runs, USE THIS TIMER: https://noobjsperson.github.io/speedrun-timer/new_run.html?id=SuDnE5CZ5l0&type=y
i found this timer which could be useful for runs.
I uploaded the link to the timer in the resources tab
I reread this and i thought we could create s 10k run or mabye 30k if its too low
Hey, i was wondering if i can make a similar video show casing every level and the shortcuts in it + saying how many seconds they save and how hard it is from 0 to 5
The glitch where you can skip a level by spamming no thanks with more that 2 fingers at the same time. I posted a guide on the guides tab
Btw make sure that all your finger press the screen AT THE SAME TIME while spamming
I just found out how to do the instant level skip, it's not about luck, it's about how you press the screen. I will be posting a tutorial soon.
