Playing Devil's Advocate, and ambition not withstanding,if you do purchase highscore.com, you can re-brand both of them into something "grandeous" (example HallOfFameGaming, or something else) as an "Overlord" to both of them and anything else that comes in the future under the umbrella of being "The Go To Place". Successfully doing so would gain you control over the two key markets and allow you to expand in the future in any way you would choose.
I can offer the following to the list of potential categories.
Division% - Timer stops when you see the screen telling you that you have clinched your Division. Really just a mid-way between the single game and the whole season.
Single Game - Points% - Honestly, any wall to hit (35, 49, 70) could be fun to try.
Week 1 Challenge - Pick one team from every game in Week 1. Win every game. Timer begins when you start your first game and ends when you finish the last of the week. This would be 14 games, so another mid-way between single and whole. But having to use 14 different teams would make this much more challenging than floating home with the over-powered monster teams in this game.
I am not doing anything "money" at all. I just post the runs that have merit there. I don't ever really intend to try to make money off of it, but who knows what lies in the future. My YouTube Channel under the same name has all of 4 Subscribers and all of maybe 250 total views so far, so it seems a little absurd from my perspective. But it is their product and I have no issue with it, really. Unless they start ad-bombing my videos or something. That would annoy me.
I've posted two Contra speedruns so far, neither of them very good yet. But within hours on both, Konami chimed in to monetize my videos for themselves.
I'm not sure exactly what that means, but I assume it happens to all of us? Is there anything I should know going forward?
I would offer this.
Cooperative play means that two or more people are working together toward the same objective. If one player quits, both deserve to lose. In this kind of a two player setting where you really can't help your teammate at all, and you can actually really hurt them, both players should have to complete the game for the time to count. Dying on purpose so that you can get carried to a record is trash, at best.
But my opinion is just one among many.

Feel free to give Starflight a try. I posted a guide for the run and I'm fairly sure anyone with an hour can get a sub-5 and get on the list.
The run is about as easy as it gets mechanically. It's the RNG factor that keeps me from lowering my current time at this point. But I'd call it an ideal candidate for a "Beginners" running game.
Hello everyone! I'm Schmidtty. I don't know if I qualify as a speedrunner just yet, but I'm fine with being an ambitious old hat. I like to stream and run older games, NES through PS1 largely.
I've already set a new bar for an obscure game (Starflight), and I'm looking into more enjoyable games. Zelda 2 and Contra come to mind. <3
It's good to be here, and I hope to run across some of you guys in the future. ^_^
