The new pause buffer trick I do is consistent and should be migrated to full game runs. The floating platforms are still RNG so you can either pay attention and try to time your jump if you see you're slightly early for a cycle, or if you miss your jump just take the red spring back up and you're likely not losing any time.

The single tap spindash + head bonk for the Wonder Mega Boing Boing is essentially RNG and the three tap method is still the most consistent. (and props+respect to InceptionKitten for taking the three tap method to full game runs!)

I say you should always go for the pole trigger skip in full game runs. If you blow it, there's backups and most of the backups are faster than the double pole trigger strategy people use in their full game runs. Learn the backups, take the risk, if you really screw up you wind up with the same amount of time taken that the double pole trigger would have taken to begin with. Plus the skip is easy once you learn it.
