Hey there! I came up with a new category for this game, and would like to ask the moderators, if they are fine with it.
How about playing all the 21 Co-op songs on Proud, with All Excellent as a requirement? The run would start when selecting the first song and end on the last song, when Cleared shows up. The name could be "Co-op - All Excellent". And this could also be split into two categories, "Solo" and "Together". "Solo" would mostly apply to players on the Switch Version. Reason being the handable Joy-Con's one can play as both Sora and Riku easily. I'd really like to work on a run "Co-op - All Excellent - Solo" myself!
Hey Mikail! Funny you should say that, I totally did a Solo Full Chain of all Co-op Songs speedrun for fun recently! I did it on PS4, so I don't think it needs to be restricted to a certain console, but I'd be keen to see it as a speedrun! All Excellent would be a big challenge!
Hey PreferredWhale6, that's cool to hear that I'm not the only one who's playing the Co-op Songs Solo! Did you record your Full Chain for fun playthrough? Would really like to see that! I'd love to make a speedrun like I said, but I'm currently moving away, so I'll have to wait until I finally moved. But once I'm ready, I'll try my best to speedrun this category! Hopefully the mods are also okay with this new category!

Generally if there are a few runs for a category that doesn't exist yet we will have a look at it and likely add it seeing that people actually go for it. Any category is generally fine, but we rather go with having existing runs than adding categories that aren't gonna be run in the future.
@PreferredWhale6 I just watched your stream and congrats on the run! You even got an All Excellent in one of the harder tracks "L'Impeto Oscuro"! You also got a new follower. :D I also joined the Discord and will be more active, when I moved. Congrats again!
@desa Thanks for your opinion on this, greatly appreciated! Of course it makes sense to submit runs to categories which are already existing. I just have the problem that I can't look at the screen for that long, like the Platinum Throphy runs, or all the other categories, which are all at least 3 hours, when you're good. (I know this isn't an argument, I just wanted to explain myself.) A Co-op Run would go like an hour, and I can already see myself shining there! And I think PreferredWhale6 would also be someone who would try it. x) I'm gonna start recording runs to Co-op sometime in May, I should have moved until then. It's also fine if you consider to not add new categories, just do what you mods think is right! 👍🏻
With Whale having a run and you definitely showing interest I would add the category to the board once you can show a run of yours. I guess having 2 runners for a category sounds good for a new category with this game. Lookign forward to seeing it.
I'll run the category, as soon as I am able to, but this will still take at least 1 month. Also, when should the timer exactly start and end in this category? Whale's Run starts, when pressed on Co-op. But Switch players would have to connect the Joy-Cons, after pressing on Co-op, which PS players wouldn't have to worry about, cause they can connect the controller beforehand. Which in Switch does not work, as I've tried to.
Edit: This won't be an issue, when the Category is splitted into different consoles, as I've realized now.
Since the move didn't really go smoothly (I still haven't been able to move), unfortunately the run will still take a while. I'm guessing early June. Will post a link to the run here, whenever I can.
I was finally able to do a run for this category. It's definitely improveable, I made 4 mistakes on The 13th Struggle, Rage Awakened -The Origin-, Majestic Wings and L'Impeto Oscuro. I'll for sure run this category further in the future and improve my time. Submitted Run was my third ever attempt.
Run was recorded on Nintendo Switch. Timer starts when selecting Co-op in the main menu. Timer stops on the first frame, when "All Excellent" appears right below the "Cleared" sign. (Cause of this being an All Excellent Run.)
Run Time: 56:03 Min.
P.S.: My PB is 54:36 Min., but I failed to save that run, so RIP.
Well, if you get a few more people interested in this category then I see no reason to not add it to the boards.
Also I might've not seen that correctly now, is there a different between the two runs you both linked now?
There is indeed a difference. While Whale's Run is a Full Chain Run, mine is an All Excellent one. Means, I stopped the timer only when I got an All Excellent on every Song. While Whale's Timer stopped only whenever Whale achieved Full Chain on every song.
