Hello, the Moderator here, Due to Ceriumstances with the wii version having its own songs there will be no catagory for the wii version or speedruns allowed for it since it is its own game entirly meaning Dolphin emulator runs and actual Wii runs will not be accepted. Also the Wii will not count as a platform anymore
Hope you understand.
this is because the wii version of samba de Amigo isn't stable yet plus the wii configurations are not optimized that well.
honestly the wii version should just have it's own page altogether since it's an entirely different game
True, the wii version could have its own page but since people have tied it to the dreamcast it will never happen since it shares the same name.
the dolphin wiki claims that the wii version of samba de amigo works well on dolphin so idk where you got the idea that it wasn't stable. https://wiki.dolphin-emu.org/index.php?title=Samba_De_Amigo I can confirm that it works well on original hardware so idk what's the point of not making a leaderboard for it. it isn't impossible to create two different boards for the two versions. other games have this (like doom and its various console ports) and you could always put the platform in parentheses (once again look at doom)
I think the Wii version deserves a leaderboard, but what would be the categorys? Fail% doesn't add any speedrunnable mode. Maybe career mode? Tbh this game just isn't made for speedrunning. Battle mode only gives a few seconds. One of the minigames? You can do volleyball till 15 points but again only a few minutes at most. The songs normally end up to either doing nothing or just winning without a way to speed up. And if you set certain requirements like 'you need to get A rank on all songs in the game on hard as quick as possible ' it feels like forcing a highscore based in a speedrun one without any speedrun strategies.
Off topic; are there any leaderboards sites that have the Wii version of this game?
