I was thinking about this when the glitch man himself BeLegasy shared a way to get stuck inside of a block. That was when I thought of this new category. Softlock%

Here's how the speedrun will work.

1. Get the Fire Hammer as fast as possible.
2. Mine 1 fire block.
3. Place the fire block you mined exactly on your spawnpoint.
4. Trash your Fire Hammer and die.

You won't be able to move/break the block you are stuck in once you respawn, leaving you in a softlocked state.

Timing will start upon the first action taken by the player, and ends when your hp reaches 0 before getting softlocked.

like all decisions i make, this is unofficial and might change with the head mods decision, but i think since speedrunning a game’s goal is to “complete”, softlock% is just another one of those incomplete runs with no purpose. i do like ur idea though, but imo it’s a bit pointless.

if we created 'category extensions', so we might approve some of these categories and not spam the official page with them
