So I know that although bedrock doesn’t have official version switching support like java, many 3rd party tools are available: with this, of course, comes the risk of installing a non-genuine minecraft bedrock version (genuine as in equal to the one once available on the iOS app store, for instance). Is anyone aware of the mainstream (as well as officially recognised by moderators) clients being used to access bedrock edition on older versions / multiplatform?

Practically piracy, unless you backed up earlier versions yourself or know the version number to get it from google directly, see https://raw.githubusercontent.com/minecraft-linux/mcpelauncher-versiondb/master/versions.json
