It looks like at the end of the level depending on route and character you play with you get different pictures. Would be fun to figure out how many different pictures there are and if you can get them all. Might be longer than 100% bc you have to play with all characters and replay different routes?
I think the most important one for now would be Bowser's Fury amiibo%
Banning on main board and putting it as a joke category on Category Extensions is probably the best option, main reason being that you need very specific and several amiibo to run an optimal route, which increases the barrier to entry substantially, which is not a good thing for the main category or anything similar. Was talking about this with a streamer today and he argued about no amiibo for BotW before, which turned out to be completely rightfully so about 3 years in. While we all agreed that it is fun to play with how low you can get the time with amiibo, it is extremely harmful to put that on a main/competitive category because of this barrier to access (which BotW tried to solve later on with permitting 3rd party programmable NFC tags...).
Can you change difficulty during the game? If so, I would argue there could be tactics changing the difficulty during the game and as such not forcing any specific difficulty could be interesting...
Basically, any run that keeps your name intact ;)
and Kevin, usually if someone runs it, that is has a video of it, that is a valid way to plead to add it to the leader boards.
I think most streamers settled on considering 6 levels a win for Super Expert, so maybe just like in SMM1 make that category an exception and set finishing 6 levels as a full run?
I think for most except Super Expert you could just go for one screen? (like, up to the transition to the next page) Maybe even for SE, if you skip well...
Probably also something like All Big Coins would be cool
How about an All Portraits category that ends with the Get out of my room soundbite in Barb's room?
however the short time you can achieve it in together with the difficulty it poses makes it an interesting category to run to train your skills.
are we sure that Strawberries in-game is only the red berries? I think actually that the categories are pretty okay and that there are not really exact equivalents in the game, only statistics that are almost but not quite.
Categories involving doing the rest of the game and having to play the Pico-8 game in location can still be cool though :)
That is just playing the game. My idea with Pico% is playing the game from the start, finding the monitor in-game and playing Celeste Classic in-game to finish it up, similar to e.g. nipple% in SMO. A nice quicker than Any% run.
Just Golden Berries (with cheat) All Hearts + Golden Berries (like a 114% Lite) Pico% (completing the game until the end of the Pico 8 game in the resort)
