Just as the title says, I'm curious as to what you guys love about the game. For me, it's the gameplay. Sure, it can be dull and repetitive at times but it is still quite fun to play for the most part.

i enjoy the co-op mode quite a bit, also the slower gameplay is a little more suitable to me now a days compared to the insanity of MWO. early game i consider a lot of fun because you are struggling to get a foothold in the mercenary life. but normally when you do get that foothold, things get significantly easier... normally when you get your first high powered assault mech. my normal first "Go TO" assault mech is the Awesome 8Q. the mechs stats overall are pretty solid and there is something to be said about blasting things to pieces with x3 PPC let alone i usually have a pretty easy time getting head shots with the mech.

I agree. The Awesome truly lives up to its name. It's well armored and those 3 PPCs can wreck anything. I prefer the 9M myself though, probably due to it having double heat sinks and pulse lasers. My A.I. squad seems to do really well with either the 8Q or 9M variants.

To help MW5 players out, here's some guides that be useful. They consist of the 10 best hero 'Mechs, 5 best medium 'Mechs, light 'Mechs, heavy 'Mechs and 'Mechs that are good for melee combat. I hope this helps, even if it's just a bit.

the ASW-9m is good but hard to find. as for the 8Q.. you can find those pretty early and cheep. as for light mech, the wolfhound is really good but hard to find early in regular campaign, so i settle for the srm javilin or if i get lucky the oxide or anansi hero mechs. medium mechs, the blackjack is just a favorite of mine but for raw damage output i go for the dervish or kinataro with srm build. heavy mechs.... black knight with short burst or chem lasers, warhammer if rebuilt to be heat efficient, i forget which varient of the orion but they are decent damage dealers but garbage hit boxes, the quickdraw is also pretty good if rebuild for heat.

Hahahaha!!! Yeah. I agree about the Orion's hitboxes. My A.I. squad seems to work well with them though. Probably because I tend to not let them go off on their own most of the time. But if I'm looking to troll enemies, I prefer Hero Firestarters & some common variants. Flamers are fun to use.

Light 'Mech Tier List. Medium 'Mech Tier List. Don't know how accurate these tier lists are, but I think they're a decent estimation of light & medium 'Mechs. Non hero 'Mech variants are better for A.I. team mates, too. Best Non Hero Lights & Best Non Hero Mediums. Repair bills just skyrocket when hero 'Mechs are damaged. But there are times I let A.I. use hero assault 'Mechs since they tend to survive longer without supervision. Best Hero Assault 'Mechs.

I feel Heavy 'Mechs are the most well rounded, though. Best Non Hero Heavies. The Catapult & its variants are solid heavy 'Mechs despite some shortcomings. But when it comes to firepower, assault 'Mechs are the way to go. I was honestly surprised that the Banshee doesn't get enough love. It's a decent 'Mech with several variants, too. The Cyclops isn't my favorite 'Mech but the Hero variant rocks. Good thing the Cyclops has some good variants.

banshee has one really good varient. cyclopse? the only one i like to grab is i ever see it is the slipnir, using double gauss is fantastic if you yourself are great at dishing out head shots. the battlemaster is also a fantastic mech, decent speed, great firepower, can also be relatively cool if you manage to get your hands on double heatsinks early game.
