hard to make a title. anyways
in my eyes, the runs that dont have quests popping up, like they already completed them. most runs use the beatmaker and piano quests for the 5 quests right? well, beatmaker is a bit finicky and wont always give you it at the first hit of the thing. it usually requires two, or four hits.
i understand doing it without the quest pop up is easier, but it really makes it hard to think it was verified.
what do you guys think?
i suppose, but still, it can help make sure that they are actually hitting the quests and completing them.
for most quests it’s pretty easy to tell if you completed it or not either way
for most quests it’s pretty easy to tell if you completed it or not either way if it's a run that pays more attention on hitting "quest-get!" triggers (like hitting the looped trigger instead of doing the loop) then it'll probably be a bit harder for everyone involved to really tell if things were got correctly. iirc runs are timed based on the pop-ups anyways, but i've only run all-quests, so hell if i know for the other categories
well, beatmaker is a bit finicky and wont always give you it at the first hit of the thing. it usually requires two, or four hits. if i'm not wrong, the trigger to get beatmaker is near the middle of the beat.. "pad"? idk what to call it. but, it's helpful to keep in mind generally that quests are marked by triggers; basically, invisible areas the game checks if the player's touching or not. maybe the trigger is only on some buttons rather than others?
You don't need to have the "Quest Complete" pop-up for you to count it. You can do run even if the pop-ups don't happen.
well, yes, you can still do a run if its popups don't come up, but i'd think you would need them to come up if you were to submit one. it's literally in the category rules for each category, listed as a note.
in that case, i guess the last one would mark the timer to stop? so, would that be the only one necessary?
pop ups in my eyes, are required. if you're going for all quests, the last pop up, achievement hunter, takes a second or two before popping up, and that marks the end
yeah, but it's kinda annoying making a new account after every failed run (if you alreasy had one quest pop-up) i can see where you are coming from, though, if you're really that focused on a run, just have a few accounts, do runs with all of them, then take a break. it can help you sometimes
