About timing standards

So whenever I play this game, I get some quite long loads because I have a lower end PC. I also get some loading screen inbetween sector because of that. So I would like to ask if the timing standard could be changed from RTA to time without loads.

I offer myself to retime the current runs and update the times if get modded.

I can't add you as a moderator I guess? (maybe you need to be super to do it)

I haven't seen the super mod since they made the page though, so maybe post in the absentee mod forum and ask for super mod?

Link them to this thread as I don't care if you're the super mod :)

Oh, alright. Will do

Yes, the current super mod seemed to snipe the game's modship, establish barebones rules with a low-effort first run, and then leave the site quickly. They should probably be removed entirely and somebody new established. Also, yes, Super Mods are the only ones able to add or remove other regular mods, which is the only difference between regulars and supers. They can also promote others to super but they cannot remove that person once they are also a super.

Personally, as a long-time mod on the Left 4 Dead boards myself, I can vouch for bill that he's a thoughtful individual who has been helpful in discussions on that series in setting up rules including figuring out load removal, so he's definitely a good candidate here.

Wonder if I should post this in the main site thread, not sure if they will come in and read it here or not...

I posted in the Main Site thread about moderation requests stuff. I didn't mention removing the other guy though. I could edit my comment to include that. Also I linked this thread there.

Hey, mod status finally happened! I'm gonna start working on the retiming now. Once I'm done with that, I'll add another column for time without loads (might change that before finishing retiming if I take too long to retime the runs)

So by tomorrow I should have everything retimed and should post an explanation of how to time the runs properly

All the runs have been retimed! Also, rules have been rephrased to include the new timing method.
