I was just doing my first play through of System Shock Remake, was getting up to the second encounter with Diego outside the escape pod. I threw a EMP grenade before he came out the door, which caused him to be locked behind the door which locks for the fight. I was able to attack him through the door with the laser rapier, making the fight a cake walk.

Unless there is another exploit that bypasses this section of the game, it might be worth a look for anyone thinking about pathing this game or attempting a run.

The 2nd fight with Diego is completely skippable just like it was in the original.

Yes, the game does try to push you towards going to the escape pods, but you don't have to.

Hi I'm a little confused - Is skipping this fight allowed for glitchless? I noticed it said no skips, but I'm not sure if that includes this fight or not since it doesn't seem to break the rules of the game itself 🤔 thanks in advance

Should be allowed to skip it since it's not even required in a regular playthrough. Most of the skips that Any% uses involve out-of-bounds clipping so it's those that aren't allowed in Glitchless. Things like skipping sections that aren't required or jumping across gaps that would otherwise require a puzzle? That should be fine! The rules are still being worked anyway on as far as I know.
