I was wondering if there are any rules regarding doing runs on emulator (specifically for psp and ds) (more specifically ppsspp and DeSmuME)
I don't know much about the accuracy of the emulators, so if it's not allowed, I completely understand.

I don't have the switch version, so I can't give a direct answer, but I can tell you how to test the submit scores question.
The way we disable score submission on PC is by putting steam in offline mode, so that it can't connect to the internet. So on switch, I would try to disconnect the switch from the internet, and then try playing an individual level. If the score submission text doesn't come up, then you're good to do runs.
And if you have any other questions, I would recommend going over to the community discord. It's pretty active (depending on the time of day) and questions usually get answered pretty quickly.
Try dying less :P
but really though, most of the top runners of this game have well over 1000 hours in the N series. Just keep playing and you'll get better
I know there aren't many runs on the board, but I thought I'd create a discord server for anyone who happens to pick up the game in the future.
A sense of community is important for the health of any speedgame, whether it has 2 runners or 100.
So in case anybody is reading this in the future and wants resolution: we talked about this in the Tomba speedrunning discord, and we decided that 100% should be changed to All Events, which has much more clearly defined rules, as well as some runs already completed.
I've been looking into running 100% for this game, but I want to know exactly what the definition of 100% is.
Do we just need to complete 133 events? Do we also need to get max health? Do we need to get all the seeds of strength? Do we need to open every chest in the game?
What exactly are the requirements?
I usually prefer playing platformers with a controller. Does anyone have a problem with me using joytokey for conrtoller support?
