Hello everyone! This thread will introduce you the Tales of Symphonia speedrunners. Runners are free to introduce themselves here.
I am Baffan, I am 23 and I live in France. I play Tales of Symphonia casually since the release of the game, I never stopped playing it, I always played it in my life and I believe I never stopped playing this game more than a year. It's my favorite game ever and that will probably never change.
Obviously I became interested in ToS speedruns when I discovered speedrunning and other ToS runners. My focus was on NG+ because I did a ton of NG+ casually with my friends and I found it more funny at the moment. I was at ESA 2014 where I did a co-op run with people I never seen before, and that was a great experience! But for my next marathon I will do a very serious run with more skill. Probably NG then.
Hi. =3
I am GreenMittenz, and I live in Oregon (USA). I used to play Tales of Symphonia a TON as a kid and always loved the story and character. Except for the obvious exception. Originally I found speedrunning though Pokemon Sapphire but found that I hated running pokemon games and was looking for a new game to run when I saw Cosalich doing a runthrough of symphonia. And then started my overhauls of rerouting with the help of everyone else that was starting to run the game as well.
Once upon a time, Snow was falling from the sky over that lovely little country that is France. It was a Christmas night.
As you know, a lot children love Christmas, with all the bright fir, unctuouse food, and familly meeting, sometime around a warm fireplace. This is part of the best time of the year to have holiday, build snowmen or reste after a little fall in a little bush near the sky track.
This short christmass story take place, as you probably guess, on Christmas morning, when a little child happily discover his present behind the familly tree. And it happen what you may already know, as he discover a chocolate box hidden under a nintendo GameCube with two game. He was so happy to get the first of the two pokemon game release on the console that he thought to not play it first, since this game were going to take all his free time once home. So he decide to power his new console, insert the disc of the other game which he never heard from, Tales of Symphonia.
And well, I am not even surprise to tell you that, years later, he sell the pokemon game without finding the time to finish it...
...
Well, as you guess, I am S18alg, and you realy should prononce it Slag. I am a Tales of Symphonia speedrunner for few month, thanks to Baffan, GreenMittenz and FreeYourSoul, and I currently struggle to make my acquisition card to actualy acquire my game color. Some of the work I plan to do soon after being able to stream in decent condition may probably be NG+ run and work to find new glitch.
Hi :D
Well I'll keep things short and simple. My name is Jason Mota, or you can just call me Jay. I'm 19 years old and Currently 3rd in both categories for this game due to my imense love for it back in 2004 and it's been 10 years since and I'm still playing it without it being a chore, despite how annoying it can be to reset constantly. I originally got into speed running when i saw Omegaevolution and fanatic doing runs but now their runs are garbage lol. Currently I just finished rerouting NG with Dabomstew and Blackrazgriz and everything is finalized and i hope to get a sub 6:30 for NG+ and sub 7:30 for NG runs
