From what I've seen, foxtrotting is about the sprint mechanic. Me and my friend are planning on running this game and we have a certain rhythm in sprinting. We use this rhythm in most games that have the sprinting mechanic and it hasn't caused any problem. So, is this "rhythm" in sprinting considered foxtrotting?

yes, that is foxtrotting. Also that video in the bottom right is blocking your sprint bar, so if you were to submit a run with that there it would be rejected.
