something like this is a great cheap one. not the best video quality, but neither is Kash Dash, so for this that's fine
I know this might sound dumb but can one you you guys show me your setup for a capture card i really dont know how they work
Mine is fairly advanced: I use what's called a "Passthrough HDMI" capture card. This means that the HDMI from my game runs into the card, and an HDMI runs out of the card to the TV or monitor. There is also a USB 2.0 output that outputs the video being "passed through" the card, which hooks up with USB to my computer, so I can just press record in OBS (Open Broadcasting Software, the recording program I use).
The capture card I linked is much simpler, but works a bit differently. That card is a straight line between your console and your PC. You plug the three prongs into the capture card, and the capture card into a USB port, and from there you can record with the program it comes with or anything else, like OBS. Difference is, the capture card creates a bit of latency since it is not passthrough. However, with the Diamond 500, the one I linked, the delay was very minimal, and didnt really pose a problem to me, even when playing games that require low latency, like Smash Bros.
Thats about all you need to know! Let me know if you have other questions
