Attack and press the direction opposite of the direction you’re running in

You’ll lose all momentum but you will instantly turn

There is another instaturn method where you keep all of your speed, and change it to a different direction.

simply jump while in mach speed, grab dash mid air and let go of mach, and when you see your character walking fast on the ground, you can taunt, then buffer in the mach key and direction, and you'll zoom off with all the speed you had before. The quicker you time the taunt after landing, the more speed you keep. Be sure to practice the timing with this, as miss timing can kill all your momentum.

The same principal can also be used for performing high speed high jumps, though this technique will require a multibind.
