Hello. I have lots of OBS questions, but I've sort of prioritized my questions for more important things first. You can probably guess what the question will be.
I can successfully put the chatbox of Twitch in feed with Window Capture, albeit it's sort of difficult to work with. For example, I can't really zoom in on the text without changing the zoom settings on Chrome in general. But since I do not have two screens to work with at the moment, I can't actually see the chatbox above my game screen in the same I can with my timer. I've noticed some sort streams that have translucent chat boxes. I don't know if they actually see them over their own game or own a separate screen. So, I'm curious how that works. Is that a plugin in OBS that does this? I'm not tech savvy so I wouldn't know, but it seems like the API or whatever could easily been grabbed with a plugin.
Any fingers pointed in the right direction regarding these things would be useful indeed. I thank anyone who might be able to give me some advice on this matter.
Hello. Finally decided to start speed running a 20 year old game that's apparently obscure enough for me to literally never meet another per IRL that has hard of it, despite the fact it was GotY back in 1998.
Just got a new refurbished comp that can handle streaming and recording video; so that's nice.
My OBS stream is still a little amateurish, so I'm hoping I might be able to pick up some tips to make things look less terrible.
In any case, I'm going to speed running various elements of the Myth series for the time being.
Technically this game has been speed ran before, 10 years ago when speed running wasn't quite as centralized as it is now. Unfortunately, I cannot find times or footage of supposedly held records for certain aspects of the game. Although I'm hoping to eventually find some of this stuff, for now I'm curious as to how something like that might work.
Other than that, cheers everyone!
