I had that issue too, you have to look around in profile settings to manually switch on forum notifications.
Out of interest, what precisely is the grey area, here? Is it that using such profiles obscures the choice of settings from viewers and run-verifiers? If so, I guess I agree with that. Perhaps it could be required to show the creation of the profiles and world settings etc at some point in the full video? E.g. at the start of the video you show all the setting creation, and then you can proceed to attempt Fun% say 20 times in a row, each attempt using the world and profiles you made earlier? This would exclude all the tedious setup from the actual run, which makes sense to me.
This would be similar to how it's done in Factorio speedrunning (https://www.speedrun.com/factorio?h=Any&x=ndxjper2); there you can use pre-made profiles for maps and settings etc, but you have to paste the full 'map exchange string' in your submission (a long string that stores all the info). So the run videos just start from the moment the map is loaded and the game actually starts.
Of course, that was just my interpretation, and would need the moderators to confirm. I would hope that embark profiles are fine too, because out of principle I think that any regular in-game settings should be allowed in speedrunning.
From the way it was written, I assumed 'stock' meant no mods and no file editing. So in-game settings are fine.
It seems the 'Individual levels' and 'Full game' leaderboards are set the wrong way round. 'Full game' has the individual levels as tabs, whilst 'Individual levels' has the full campaigns, lol.
I checked GBC out of curiosity, there's only quick game and custom game lol. But I guess 'quick game' still qualifies, so makes sense to leave the platform up.
Doesn't one of the side missions take 10 in-game years though? :/
And if you want them to be separated into distinct leaderboards under two tabs, you need to also tick "Use as sub-category" for the variable.
It does sound like a good idea to have FPS shown, since as you say it is easy to bypass the cap without any visual indication. However, we should probably wait until the Steam release (Dec 6th) before calling such votes, as the game might change drastically and the rules might need overhauling anyway.
All these variables and restrictions seem overly complicated at this point. I would simply have 'No DLC' and 'DLC permitted' (i.e. all DLC, including Ideology) be two sub-categories for all the categories. Many games do it this way, rather than trying to make some 'truth table' out of the various DLCs.
Worms: The Director's Cut falls under https://www.speedrun.com/worms_ as it was an expansion pack.
Onlineworms seems obscure, and probably has no singleplayer campaign.
Worms golf is at https://www.speedrun.com/worms_crazy_golf
Worms 4: Mayhem is grouped under https://www.speedrun.com/worms_ultimate_mayhem_steam_version#All_missions_original but maybe there is some talk of making it a separate game.
For the rest, I suppose it would take someone to actually speedrun the game first.
Ideology seems like a good thing for things like Build% and Wondrously Impressive Room, considering those runs take hours, and don't currently seem to have much interest.
Good news, I asked Support to change the 'and' to '&', so that our precious 'how' word can be put back in the title, and they've agreed. So we're now at 100 characters. And the title now reads correctly.
I originally submitted the full title, but the site mods couldn't approve it, as it was just a single character over the limit (limit is 101). I had to discard the final 'how' to bring it down to 98.
If we could somehow convince SRC to increase the limit by a single character then we would be golden.
Cool. I have used DxWnd with games before, but never tried the Teletubbies PC version. I was never entirely sure either whether the PS1 activities speedrun rules apply equivalently to the PC game.
Please change it, as it is showing up in the PS1 boards, and confusing people looking for PS1 runs. And PS4 submitters don't have a console to choose from.
Do a speedrun of it first. Then apply for a page for it on SRC, then file a request to add it to the series.
