Yes, you certainly can. It is stated in most of the servers rules that using xray is not allowed. btw this is a speedrunning forum, i think you got a bit lost :P

@Squirell You may be confused by answers above, here's all you need to know

There is a mod called SpeedRunIGT which does everything LiveSplit does, but better, here's a download link for it: https://redlime.github.io/SpeedRunIGT/

If you don't know how to install mods, here's a quick tutorial:

As you can see, LiveSplit is not being used by any minecraft speedrunner right now, but if you ever need to use it for any other reason, here's a tutorial for it:

Why tf are yall making fun of this guy for simply asking a question? Would it really hurt that much to give an answer instead of making fun?

You need to place and get into a boat on a side of a single block, when it falls to a ground it will break into 3 planks and 2 sticks. You need to place it almost as high on a side of a block as possible, heres a screenshot of a good placement: https://imgur.com/a/URrBxIN

And heres a quick video:

Hope it helped!

Changing your render distance with F3+F is allowed, but deliberately abusing it to see through walls is banned

@BarkleyH20 Pressing 0 will get you back to previous chart. So if you want to go from mapless chart to fortress chart you press 0-0-0-tick-level-entities-blockEntities

Well, it depends, there are many methods, for example:

  1. Standard triangulaton Simply throw one eye, follow its direction, go a bit to the side and throw another eye. Stronghold is at the intersection of lines created by eyes. Heres a simple tutorial by Couriway:

  2. Axis calculated Instead of just gauging stronghold's direction you can work out your distance to stronghold using angle diffrence, coordinates offset and a bit of math. The best way to do it is using Axis Calculated developed by Ninjabrain:

  3. Calculated travel Neat thing about throwing eyes is that they will always point towads 8,8 coordinates within a chunk. So, by using special program and very precise angle measurement you can find exactly wich chunk it is pointing towards. Here is a great tutorial by Four:

Just remember, your runs wont be verified if you are using this mod https://github.com/Mario0051/chunk-mod I suggest using WorldPreview, because there is a chance that it will be legalised by mods. However, it is still unverifiable now https://github.com/VoidXWalker/worldPreview

It depends what time you are aiming for and what type of route you are using. If you are playing for like sub30 you can easily spand like 3 minutes doing safe routes. 1:20 is a good time if you are consistant with it, but obviously the faster you do it the better.

It is stated in the rules:

"Resource packs are allowed if they clearly and uncontroversially provide no advantage over the built-in resource packs
You must provide a download link for the resource pack you use
If you use a resource pack, please read the detailed resource pack rules at

http://bombch.us/DOOK "

So basically, if you use texture pack with only subtle changes, you are most likely be fine

There are ton of mods that will improve your performance and are legal to use in speedrun, check out this video by k4four: Also, you can use SpeedRunIGT timer created by RedLime, available here: https://github.com/RedLime/SpeedRunIGT/releases

PolandBSRF2 years ago

They are allowed If you go to the leaderboards - > rules - > category rules and scroll a bit you will read: "Fabric Loader, and the CaffeineMC mods (Sodium, Lithium, and Phosphor) are allowed for 1.15+"

MultiMC has that feature - you can have many instances, every one of them has a seperate .minecraft file, so you dont have to swap any files

By levels you mean gamma levels? Higher gamma makes everything brighter and more visible

Recently i have came across this great mod: https://github.com/RedLime/SpeedRunIGT/releases Its great, it updates your IGT in real time which gives you better idea of your pace and its heavily customisable. Personally i cant use regular timer, bc Windows 10 built in recorder cant record multiple windows at once, and even if it could, LiveSplit makes my game laggy. Also, any other program like OBS Also creates a lot of lag. Thats why, in my opinion, this mod should be allowed in speedrunning.

I know the are not required, i just think that having one is much better than not having it

PolandBSRF2 years ago

I would, but it is way to laggy for me to use

Im using Windows 10 built in screen recorder, and im unable to record multiple screen at once, which means that i cant use any timer. Is there any allowed timer mod that will display itself within minecraft window that i can use?
