Sub 30!

Huge thanks to Arcus and his sub 30 run for getting me interested, to JSR for being super supportive, and Prawnzo for having a good zelda stream to watch and learn from. The entire Zelda community was great and the best speedrunning community I've been a part of. I was able to do this at my pace only because of all the help from other players and piggybacking off of things they already discovered.

I can go lower -- but I'm not sure if I will! Might just come back to it someday.

This took me almost two months to the day from my first submission and was quite a grind. I had 5,171 attempts over this time period, 3,879 of them being double hundo and 1,292 being the neo Khananaroute. Most of these reset within the first 50 seconds, but it takes 10 seconds to grab your sword and be able to move again -- that means over all these attempts I've spent over 14 hours grabbing that wooden sword. o_o

I completed 21 runs total over my two livesplits files, with this being my 14th PB. This is not an easy game, but getting sub 30 is definitely a grind that is worth doing.

Also, JSR was right. Use a CRT, it's so much better than emulator.

With the release of the new Nintendo "Game & Watch" which includes an official emulation port of the NES and Famicom "The Legend of Zelda" these versions are allowed for speedrunning purposes, because as far as we can tell, they play exactly the same as the NES versions (subject to change if other d
