Just curious, I might run this game in the future, would I be able to speedrun normal SA2 instead of Battle on this page? Please excuse me if this is a dumb question, as I am new to speedrunning in general.

Yes, it is allowed to run any SA2 version, if you're referring to either the Dreamcast version or any HD version without the Battle DLC, both are good :)

Battle DLC is only relevant in categories like 180 emblems or any% where you need to enter 2p battle of chao karate. By all means, if you want to save a bit of money, feel free to not buy that DLC. The only version that is banned is emulation.
