• The strum bar controls left and right.
• 1st fret is Up (used for elevators, and for up-thrust in mid-air)
• 2nd fret is A (jump)
• 3rd fret is B (sword)
• 4th fret is Down (used for elevators, and for down-thrust in mid air)
• 5th fret is not used.
• Select is the wide Star Power button (used to activate magic) and Start is the tiny + button next to it (pause menu)

Got the sub-2 hour goal I wanted for this game! Still tons of time save too:

• Misleveled really badly in Palace 1 (Why would I need Magic 2?) and had to farm a bunch to maintain Attack 4 exit
• Had to take a Magic 4 early to stay alive in Palace 2, compounding my experience points needs in Palace 2/Palace 3
• Still, the conservative overleveling in early palaces meant I had lots of lives for the 2nd half and was able to coast to the sub 2 hour time!
