The thing about speedrunners nobody ever talks about, is, they are all experts in fields which have very few participants. Compared to any other competitive domain of human activity... If everyone on Earth was forced or for a time coerced as many people in public school systems are in regards to physical 'education,' to participate in speedrunning any given game... It's safe to say WRs for said game would downsize by minutes upon minutes just naturally. So what really does a speedrunning WR even prove exactly? "I am the best in the world!" There's 6 billion people in the world. And like 10 of them speedrun that specific game. Best of 10 is not remotely similar to best of 6,000,000,000.

We are now accepting emulator runs for all categories. These runs will be split into their own "Emulator" subcategory to preserve competitive integrity, as emulators run the game faster than consoles can.
